Office of Science Updates Digital Management Statement

The Office of Sciences has updated its Statement on Digital Data Management. The new documentation takes into account the input of a variety of stakeholders, always following the primary mission of delivering the scientific discoveries and major scientific tools that transform our understanding of nature and advance the energy, economic, and national security of the United States.

The new guidance for data management is in effect since January 1, 2022, and involves all stages of the digital data life cycle including capture, analysis, sharing, and preservation. The focus of this statement is sharing and preservation of digital research data.
